Kaduna Youths Tell PDP Delegates To Shun Bribe

The Youth Wing of the Southern Kaduna Peoples Union has charged delegates of the Peoples Democratic Party in its region with refusing monetary inducement when deciding who will be their flagbearers in the 2023 general election.

The Union stated this in a press statement signed by its national coordinator, Comrade John Isaac, and distributed to journalists in Kaduna on Sunday.

According to him, the Southern Kaduna region has experienced turbulent times in recent years, with scores of people killed, properties destroyed, and economic activities pushed to the margins.

"These unfortunate events are undoubtedly linked to the poor quality of our choices, particularly when it comes to elections."

"Against this backdrop, the youths are urging all Southern Kaduna delegates participating in the upcoming primary elections, which begin today, May 22, 2022, across all political parties, to vote for candidates who are capable of attracting developments and empowering women and youths."

"It is critical that we remember that Southern Kaduna is the only home we all have and that it must come first in all our dealings," SOKAPU warned.

"Delegates must understand that the options available to them are clear; they must not mortgage the future of Southern Kaduna based on who has given them cars or motorcycles, and they must not sell their votes to the highest bidder," the group warned.
