Man Beaten And Burnt To Death By Commercial Motorcyclist Over N100 Dispute In Lagos
A young man named David was lynched and burned to death, allegedly by a group of men over a misunderstanding involving a N100 balance with a commercial motorcyclist known as an Okada rider.
It was discovered that things became heated, resulting in a fight between David and one of the commercial motorcyclists.
According to sources, the situation quickly devolved as more motorcyclists pounced on David and his friends, beating them unconscious.
David, a sound engineer, was said to be on his way home from a club when the incident occurred a few days ago in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.
A video obtained by RegencyReporters shows the deceased being beaten alongside unidentified men who are said to be David's friends.
David's friends, Frank (saxophonist) and Philip (keyboardist), are said to be receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital.
A tweet from @lordesszetta contained footages of David's friend Fransax, who was bloodied and beaten to a pulp by the mob for no just reason. "He came outside to check on his musician colleagues & they labelled him as one of them & immediately pounced on him too. He's presently fighting for his life at the hospital" she said.
