South-East Group Tells Kumuyi To Hold Crusade In Aba

The Coalition of South-East Youth Leaders has urged Pastor William Kumuyi, General Overseer of the Deeper Life Bible Church, to hold his crusade in Aba, Abia State.

The group urged Pastor Kumuyi to "ignore the warning of the spokesman of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Emma Powerful, urging him to cancel his crusade in the South-East based on security concerns" in a press release signed by its President-General, Goodluck Ibem.

"In the South-East, politicians and political parties are organizing their campaigns, people are holding burial ceremonies to bury their loved ones, white weddings and traditional weddings are taking place, and Emma Powerful did not tell them not to do their programmes," the group observed, and the same person is warning Deeper Life Bible Church's General Overseer not to go ahead with his crusade."

"We're surprised Emma Powerful became so concerned about Pastor Kumuyi's safety."  Kumuyi is a God-fearing man who is shielded by the Most High God.

Nobody should be concerned about how Almighty God protects his servants.

Emma Powerful's sudden request to the Man of God to cancel his scheduled crusade leaves much to be desired.

"Emma may not realize the significance of his statement asking Kumuyi not to come to the South-East." Requesting that the highly revered Man of God not visit the South-East will result in serious consequences between the South-East and the South-West.

"We urge Pastor Kumuyi to disregard Emma Powerful's statement and come to the South-East to preach the everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ to our people," the youths said.

"South-East is very safe," they say. "Businessmen and women have come to conduct their transactions without fear of harassment." We urge Emma Powerful to abandon Christianity and focus on his campaign for Biafra."

Because of security concerns in the South-East, IPOB reportedly advised the General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor William Kumuyi, to cancel the planned crusade in Abia State.

In a statement issued yesterday, the group's Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, warned Kumuyi to keep the security situation in the South-East in mind as he travels to Aba for his gospel crusade.

"Let him and the crusade organizers make sure nothing happens," Powerful said. Because of political and criminal activity in this region, we advise him to call a halt to this crusade for security reasons." IPOB will not allow anyone to die as a result of the upcoming crusade in Aba.

The number of criminals infiltrating events as unknown gunmen is high, and they will blame it on IPOB. If he is able, we would like him to pray for an end to the insecurity on Biafra land. We charge Christians and men of God in Biafra land to engage God in fervent prayer in order to expose all those responsible for insecurity in our land, and we urge Kumuyi to pray against it.
