We Still Have Not Got The Man Who Can Fix Nigeria — Ango Abdullahi

Professor Ango Abdullahi, convener of the Northern Elders Forum, NEF, has stated that the current crop of presidential candidates cannot fix Nigeria.

"No, we still don't have the man we think will fix Nigeria," he said.

What we have on the ground is insufficient. How can you look at Tinubu and Atiku and say they will fix the country?

"They've been there for 25, 30, 40 years, and so on." What did they do? What exactly are we looking for?

I was the one who persuaded a technocrat to join this agreement. You've probably seen Mohammed Hayatu Deen in the group of people going around PDP looking for a consensus arrangement.

I was among those who supported him. Unfortunately, we do not have the materials on hand. "Unfortunately, I don't know much about Peter Obi.

He is a young man, a former Anambra State governor, and a businessman. "He's a good young man, Kwankwaso." He began his political career with us and is quite intelligent, Without a doubt.

Of course, he had some of these debts, or he must have picked in other political formations, and so on, but he is clearly one of the bright ones around.

There is no doubt about it. “I believe we have not had good array of politicians. With due respect to some of them that one saw contesting, I am not being selfish here by referring to certain people like Prof. Osinbajo. He is a quality material but the political system will not tolerate him.”

Asked if what Osinbajo did by running against his political godfather, Tinubu, was not tantamount to betrayal of loyalty and trust, Abdullahi said those were not what the country needed.
